Dozens of CPN UML leaders leave Nepal-led factions during registration of new political parties

Dozens of CPN UML leaders left the party faction led by Madhav Kumar Nepal on Wednesday when one faction applied to register a new party with the election committee.

CPN UML members including Yubaraj Gyawali, Bhim Bahadur Raval, Asta Lakshmi Shakya, Ganashyam Bhusal, Gokarna Bista, Surendra Pandey, Yogesh Bhattarai, Raguji Panta and Amrit Kumar Bohora.

Similarly, Takura Ghaire, Aruna Nepal, Parshurama Megi, Sri Maya Takali, Jivan Jimire, Tangka Karki, Mamatha Giri, Yaja Raj Sunuvar, Sita Giri, Naresh Harel, Japat Rawal, Kamal Jung Rai Prahak Madabadi, Ayal, Rajana Khadka, Rajan Rai, Raj Bahadur Budha, Surendra Manandhar, Krishna Hanal, Hari Bhadur Rai, Rabin Koirala, Kedar Neupane, Som Prasad Pandi and Bhanubhakta Joshi also joined the dissident factions of CPN OML. left

Also, the vice-president of CPN UML Bamdev Gautam did not confirm the creation of a new party. Similarly, Jalanath Khanal has not yet reaffirmed support for the new party registration. Nepali leader Pradeep said he did not support the faction led by Olli or the faction led by Nepal.

Veduram Bhusal and Mukunda Neupane are the only members of the CPN UML Standing Committee to assist the Nepal-led faction to register a new political party.

The Nepali faction officially separated from the CPN UML and applied for registration as a party called CPN UML (Socialists) on Wednesday.
